The Mamas & The Papas Found Each Other
The Mamas & the Papas was the folk-rock group that gave us the hits “California Dreamin’,” “Monday, Monday,” and “Dedicated to the One I Love.” They are known for their melodious voices that combine their male and female members. Their music became a signature in the music scene for the counterculture of the ’60s.
The group had over 40 million record sales worldwide. Their most famous hit, “California Dreamin’,” became an anthem for the Golden State. They went on to produce music from 1965 to 1968. Yet, their legacy remained as there were inducted into the 1998 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for their contribution to music.
