Jimi Hendrix and The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Jimi Hendrix is described by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music. Aside from his significant influence in music in the 20th century, he also gave us The Jimi Hendrix Experience. He once recruited drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding to create a trio.

The group tasted sweet success in 1967 when they released the two albums, “Are You Experienced” and “Axis: Bold as Love.” The group is known for its R&B influence. “Rolling Stone” listed their albums in the 100 greatest albums of all time and placed Hendrix as the sixth greatest artist of all time.
