The First Animated Show On Primetime Television
The kids and teenagers in the ’60s witnessed how animated television shows came to life and how they developed over the years. In 1960, “The Flintstones” premiered, and it went on to release 166 episodes for six years, from 1960 to 1966. The show was a huge success and became one of the most prolific animated shows in history.
Aside from the entertainment it provides, the show is also commended for its take on social norms during that time. It represented reality most lightly and understandably. It held its history as the second most financially successful, longest-running, and greatest television cartoon of all time, next to “The Simpsons.”
