Missy Elliot enjoys a larger-than-life status in the music industry, but at one point, she did not feel the best about her body image. She made a lifestyle change after her nervous system malfunctioned due to excess weight. Once she got it under control, she shifted her focus towards losing weight.
Elliot shook off 30 pounds by following a low-carb diet and doing cardio. She also cut out bread and any beverages with added sugar like soda and fruit juice. In honor of her indelible contributions to the music industry, in November 2021, she was honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
