The Colourful Icon of the Rainbow Deckchair

The Rainbow Deckchair, a vibrant sculpture at Worthy Farm, became an instant hit at Glastonbury. Designed by UK contemporary artist Paul Insect and brought to life by a dedicated team of engineers and carpenters, this colourful installation stands over six metres tall. Located near the iconic Glastonbury sign, it adds a playful and photogenic element to the festival grounds.

Crown Paints contributed over 50 litres of paint in rainbow hues to complete the piece, which took nearly three weeks. Although it’s not for sitting, the Rainbow Deckchair is a striking visual landmark, embodying the creative spirit of the Glastonbury Festival.
