Voice of Baceprot Rocks the Stage, 2024
Firda “Marsya” Kurnia and Widi Rahmawati are, respectively, guitarists and bassists of the Indonesian heavy-metal band Voice of Baceprot. Voice of Baceprot is the first band from Indonesia to perform at Glastonbury. These Muslim women electrified the stage on day three of Glastonbury 2024.
Known for their fierce performances and bold presence, this all-female trio—including their drummer, Euis Siti Aisyah—has gained significant relevance by breaking stereotypes and championing women’s empowerment in the music industry. Formed in 2014, Voice of Baceprot has rapidly risen to international fame. Their music blends metal with traditional Indonesian influences, creating a unique and powerful sound.
