Andrew McCarthy – Travel Writer

Andrew McCarthy was raised in New Jersey and always dreamed of becoming an actor. He was lucky enough to get his first part in the movie Class, released in 1983. His career gained ground after the films St. Elmo’s Fire, Mannequin, and Pretty in Pink. His most recent role was on the TV show The Family. The actor has admitted that he was an alcoholic in his youth, but he eventually became sober after attending an alcohol rehab facility.  McCarthy must have opened a new bank account when he started working on the side as National Geographic Magazine’s Editor at Large.
