Tony Romo – $17.5 Million
Tony Romo made a seamless transition to the broadcast booth after a 14-year career NFL career. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback joined CBS in 2017 as their lead color analyst. His talented display of in-game analysis earned him more attention, and he was further lauded for his play-by-play coverages.
Romo renewed his contract with CBS in 2020, and as per the New York Post, it reportedly bumped up his annual take-home figure to the $18M mark. That subsequently made him the highest-paid sports broadcasting personnel and NFL analyst in TV history. During his time on the gridiron, Romo reportedly took home $127.4M in total, according to Sportrac.
