While most of us dread getting older, Shirley Jones, who is in her eighties, loves the wisdom and maturity that comes with being a senior. The star is happy to be at an age where she is less critical and more forgiving of herself and others, unlike her younger years.

After her success as an actress with an Academy Award to her name, the celebrity tried her hand at music, releasing a 24-song album under the U.K label, Stage Door Records. Jones’s 2013 memoir revealed jaw-dropping details about the entertainer, some of which she isn’t proud of. Even so, we live, and we learn, as the thespian likes to say.
