Paul Anka – 80 Years Old

Paul Anka’s first song, “I confess,” catapulted the star to international success, when he was only 14. Yet, if it weren’t for the singer’s uncle, who gave him $100 to record his demo, the world would never have known about the musician’s existence.

Anka is one of the few artists who have received proper recognition for their contribution to the arts, with a street in Ottawa, Canada, named after the celebrity and even an annual holiday to honor the entertainer. The Diana star, who continues to record music to date, runs a restaurant in Las Vegas.
