Mark Chapman, also known as ‘Choppers’, launched his career as a continuity announcer on BBC Two before transitioning to BBC Radio One as a sports reader on “Newsbeat.” His recognisable voice was also heard on Scott Mills’ show in the same capacity. Marc expanded his role in 2010, becoming the host of various sports shows on BBC 5 Live.
His repertoire at the BBC grew as he became the presenter of “Match of the Day 2,” “Final Score,” and other sports-focused programs. From 2016 to 2020, he co-presented “The NFL Show” and “NFL This Week” with Jason Bell and Osi Umenyiora. Currently, his earnings at the BBC stand at £250K annually.
