George Alagiah has been a prominent figure on “BBC News at Six” since December 2007. His journalism career began with South Magazine before he became an esteemed international reporter for the BBC. He has covered significant events, including civil wars in Afghanistan, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Somalia, the genocide in Rwanda, and the plight of the Marsh Arabs in Iraq.
