The Rolling Stones Established Their Career
In addition to the line-up of successful musicians born in the ’60s was the rock band, The Rolling Stones. The group was formed in 1962, and they embraced a heavier-driven sound that highlighted the hard rock genre.
They were part of the British Invasion in 1964 and took part in the decade’s counterculture. Their most internationally recognized tracks were “Get Off of My Cloud” and “Paint It Black.” With over 200 million record sales worldwide, they are one of the best-selling musicians of all time. They also earned three Grammy and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
