The Assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. is a well-respected clergyman and civil rights leader. His “I Have A Dream Speech” and participation in the Selma to Montgomery march are just some of the most important things he took part in the fight for equality.
On April 4, 1968, King was fatally assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee. The charged suspect for the crime was James Earl Ray, sentenced to 99 years in prison. King might have ended his legacy early, but he will live on in the Civil Rights Movement and the Nobel Peace Prize he left for the world to follow his goodness.
