Before he passed away just this year, Kirk Douglas had been renowned as one of the few remaining legends in Hollywood. His home in Palm Springs is just as iconic as him. Douglas had resided in the house mentioned above for no more than four decades (precisely 42 years — from 1957 to 1999).

The new owners of his home decided to pay tribute to the actor by putting it through a series of renovation projects. This was to preserve the property’s original structure while at the same time adding a modern feel to it.
