Gareth Southgate & Alison Southgate – 24 Years

Sometimes giving ultimatums to a partner really works, like in Gareth Southgate’s wife Alison; after being together for a while, she gave the Three Lions boss a final offer, either marry her or walk away. Gareth, of course, chose to stay and marry his teenage sweetheart, and they’ve been together now for more than two decades.

The then Crystal Palace trainee first caught a glimpse of Alison at the boutique she worked for, and he was instantly smitten. After years of being together, which includes secret dates at a Tesco car park, the couple tied the knot in 1997.
