Ruth Buzzi – Born in 1936
Ruth Buzzi is widely recognized for her talent and versatility. She began her career with early TV appearances in “Linus the Lionhearted,” before going on to star in numerous films and TV shows. However, it was her appearances on the hit comedy sketch show “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-in” that made her a household name in the late ’60s. Her work on the show earned her five Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award.
Despite her success, Buzzi announced her retirement from acting via social media in 2021. Her final TV appearance was on “Come on Over Ruthie” in 2007. Nonetheless, her remarkable talent continues to be celebrated today.
