While Google Street View is unable to prevent or warn people about situations like this, it can at least capture them. This awful incident occurred in Toronto, where a kid and the Google camera appeared to have seen a flaming automobile in the driveway.

The boy was reported to have informed the owner before it blew out, and the owner, who also happened to be the CEO of a garage door company, was taken aback when asked about the strange chain of events so long after it occurred. Unbeknownst to him, a Google Street View vehicle was passing through the neighborhood at that instance.
