While many aspiring actors view soap operas as a means to get noticed and land larger roles, actress Ashley Slanina-Davies took a different approach. Slanina-Davies, who is best known for playing Amy Barnes on the TV show “Hollyoaks,” put her education ahead of her fame. In 2012, she left the show to focus on her studies and only returned four years later after completing her degree.
Despite her striking looks and talent as an actress, Slanina-Davies made the decision to permanently leave the spotlight in 2017. She later revealed that she was considering a career in brain research, a field that was related to the degree she had obtained.
