Sue Barker & Lance Tankard

Sue Barker has been married to Lance Tankard, a former cop and landscape gardener, since 1988. Tankard met Barker while on vacation in Portugal, where she was working as a tennis player. As fate would have it, they crossed paths again in England while both of them were out for dinner, and their romantic relationship began shortly after. 

After 24 years of hosting the BBC game show “A Question of Sport,” Barker, who is one of the nation’s beloved television and sports presenters, stepped down from her role in  September 2020.
