At the tender age of 14, Nadia Comăneci became the first gymnast to achieve a score of 10.0 at the Olympic Games. That huge accomplishment is just one of the many she achieved in her outstanding career.

As a gymnast and Olympic athlete, she has won five gold Olympic medals and nine in total. She’s also been dubbed one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century due to her huge influence. After her official retirement in 1984, Comăneci’s love for gymnastics led her to take several leadership positions in the field. She did the unusual when she acted in a 2017 movie titled “The Veil.”
