Maxine Peake is another face that will strike a chord with fans of British series. Whether it’s as Twinkle in “dinnerladies,” or as Veronica Ball in “Shameless,” she’s acted in enough popular roles to be a well-known English star.
Like several of her contemporaries, Peake started pursuing acting at a young age and went to theatre and acting schools to pursue her dreams. She can say her efforts paid off, as she now has several accolades under her belt. It’s been all business for her as she’s been jumping from one role to the other. She appeared in the series “Rules of the Game” in 2022.
